Our Story

Northants Horse Trader Magazine was first  launched in 2015 and is proud to serve the equestrian community of Northamptonshire (and beyond!).

After the covid pandemic forced closured, the magazine is being relaunched for Spring 2024 with the new name 'Northants Horse Magazine' (the Trader part has been removed as general private classified advertising on the website is no longer offered.

The magazine is professionally designed and curated by local equestrian enthusiast Sarah Nicell-Foster, who lives in the county and has previously competed and owned horses in the area. Sarah has the knowledge and contacts to provide both the readers and advertisers with what they want from their local community magazine. Sarah works closely with many local businesses including local riding clubs to promote and distribute the magazine through effective channels.

The magazine features local riders from all levels from happy hackers to International Showjumpers who are based in and around the county.

The magazine sets itself aside from other national/regional magazines by ensuring the content is relevant and relates on a more personal level to allow readers to feel in touch with their community magazine.

Each issue will once again include all of the usual favourites: veterinary advice, training articles, readers results and competitions along with the ever so popular events guide; listing all the events from in and around the county, which our readers find a useful resource.

Every magazine produced features a local ‘Front Page Cover Star’. The magazine often invites readers to submit their photos and receives 100’s of entries per issue – It really gets the readers involved, this generates more interest around each issue.

The magazine is available both in print and online and is distributed to stockists in and around Northamptonshire; from retail shops to event centres. The magazine is also delivered to many local livery yards who have requested a delivery.
